Tariq Topey

Merlin Street Films is a production company founded by myself, Tariq Topey, in 2025. My passion for filmmaking and telling stories started as a child and never left. In high school, I wrote a play, called What Goes Down in the Kitchen and performed it with members of my school's Theater Club, winning awards all across Michigan. This was the first time I showed other people my work. I remember the nerves that ran through my body when we first performed in front of others.

However, I didn't let that fear stop me. I kept practicing and getting better. This determination led me to Grand valley State University, where I majored in Film & Video Production. I plan on continuing my work through Merlin Street Films and can't wait to see where it takes me.
